Thompson

Our Technique: We specialize in a low force adjusting technique called the Thompson Technique.  This technique is different from traditional chiropractic techniques. There is no bending, twisting, or cracking. Using a special table with a unique drop piece mechanism and an individual’s own weight, specific chiropractic adjustments are delivered in a very effective and gentle manner.

Activator

Activator is a very gentle type of adjustment.  This technique uses a hand held instrument which delivers a localized low force adjustment which relaxes muscle spindles.  Activator is a good technique for children or osteoporotic patients and is also helpful for adjusting elbows, wrists, knees and other joints of the body.

Palmer Package/Diversified

Palmer Package sometimes referred to as Diversified technique utilizes twisting motions to create motion in the spine.  There are often an audible sounds or cavitations with these types of adjusting that consists of gases leaving the joint space.  This was the first chiropractic technique developed and is still used widely today.  Please talk to your doctor if you are osteoporotic as this may not be the best way for you to be adjusted.

Flexion Distraction

Cox Technic makes use of flexion-distraction and decompression to adjust and manipulate the spine, thus …

  • increasing intervertebral disc height, which removes tension on the anular fibers and the spinal nerve and improves circulation
  • dropping pressure within the nucleus pulposus of the intervertebral disc
  • increasing the area of the intervertebral foramen by up to 28%
  • and essentially realigning the spine by restoring vertebral joints to their proper physiological relationships of motion

Cox Technic flexion-distraction and decompression is a well-researched, well-documented, and proven-effective technique for decompressing spinal nerves and treating low back pain. It’s a gentle, non-surgical, no-force procedure that helps the spine heal properly – and keeps it as pain free as possible.
